This is among the most surprising of our dramatisations. It presents the classic version of the myth of Autumn and Spring (as told by Ovid in Latin and in a Greek Homeric Hymn) within a frame of famous passages from Shakespeare and Milton (Perdita’s flower speech and Ceres’s pain).
